Half-giants are enormous humanoids, averaging 11' tall and weighing around 1600lb. They are corded muscle covered with thick flab, and frighteningly strong despite their soft appearance. Their faces are wide, with crude, brutish features.
Half-giants were once magical crossbreeds created by the Sorcerer-Kings, but are now a true-breeding race. Most are born as slaves to the Sorcerer-Kings, who ban anyone else from owning them, and serve as an elite guard for the Sorcerer-King and the templars. Some are used as gladiators in the arenas.
Half-giant brutes are terrifying combatants. Half-giant brutes are trained in the use of all weapons and armor. At first level, half-giant brutes hit an unarmored foe (AC 0) with an attack throw of 10+. They advance in attack throws by three points every two levels of experience, and in saving throws by two points every three levels of experience. They increase their base damage roll from successful attacks by +2 at 1st level, and by an additional +1 at 3rd and 6th level. Half-giant brutes can wield any weapon. They are trained to fight wielding a weapon and shield, wielding a two-handed weapon, and wielding a weapon in each hand.
Half-giants possess terrible strength, and gain a +8 bonus on throws to open doors and similar acts of brute strength. Their huge size gives then a +4 bonus on saving throws against Special Maneuvers in combat, and inflicts a -4 penalty on human-sized and smaller opponents' saving throws against their Special Maneuvers.
Due to their size, half-giants consume four times the usual amount of rations (food and water), or four stone per day (4 gallons per day).
