Amazons are warrior-women famed for their beauty and deadliness. Legends speak of tribes of amazons in distant lands that seize men as slaves. Warrior-women may find themselves fighting not just enemies, but the patriarchal and parochial attitudes of those around them, who consider women little better than chattels, or who cannot imagine that beauty and competence might go together. Some amazons will gladly or cynically make use of the way others react to their appearance or their unusual nature, while others find it a burden and an annoyance.

Amazons are mistresses of the martial arts. They are trained in the use of all weapons, but may only wear leather armor or lighter. They may fight with a weapon and shield, a two-handed weapon, or a weapon in each hand. At first level, amazons hit an unarmored foe (AC 0) with an attack throw of 10+. They advance in attack throws and saving throws by two points every three levels of experience (as fighters). Amazons also increase their base damage roll from successful melee or missile attacks by +1 at 1st level and by an additional +1 at 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th level. They may use any magic item usable by fighters.

Amazons fight with deadly grace, and receive a +1 bonus to AC when wearing leather armor or lighter and able to move freely. This bonus increases to +2 at 7th level and +3 at 13th level.

No matter what they think of the amazons, most men find them fascinating, and amazons receive a +2 bonus to reactions from anyone who could potentially be attracted to them.

At 5th level (Fury), an amazon's battlefield prowess inspires others to follow her. Any henchmen and mercenaries hired by the amazon gain a +1 bonus to their morale score whenever she personally leads them. This bonus stacks with any modifiers from the amazon's Charisma or proficiencies.

At 9th level (She-Devil), an amazon can build or conquer a castle and become a great leader. When she does so, up to 1d4+1×10 0th level mercenaries and 1d6 amazons of 1st – 3rd level will come to apply for jobs and training. If hired, they must be paid standard rates for mercenaries. Amazons' castles are otherwise identical to those of fighters, as detailed in the Campaign chapter of the ACKS Rulebook.
